When you don't have a person in the back, looking at a camera feed from center field, zoomed in on the catcher to read what pitch is going to be thrown next, and don't have someone banging on a trash can in the dugout to signal that info to the hitter, a team actually has to play baseball the way it was intended to be played. The Astros are finding that out the hard way.
Four of the stars for the Astros in their sham of a 2017 World Series run, went 0-28 over the past two games against the Dodgers, the team Houston cheated out of their first championship since 1988.
The Astros cheating scandal is the 1919 Black Sox scandal of our generation. At least the eight players involved in fixing the 1919 World Series were banned from the game for life. The entire 2017 Houston Astros roster received immunity and were let go scotch free.
Now that they actually have to hit without knowing what is coming, they're all struggling.
It's a great thing to see.
