Although churches up and down the state of California have have been forced to close their doors due to Gov. Gavin Newsom's unconstitutional ban on indoor services, several pastors, including John MacArthur from Grace Community Church and Jack Hibbs from Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, have decided to stand by the US Constitution and the Word of God and have kept their doors open.
Hibbs opened the doors of Calvary Chino Hills on May 31st along with many other churches across the state. When Newsom tried to close the doors of the church once again, Hibbs, MacArthur and other pastors were not going to allow the governor to once again act unconstitutionally and shut down churches across the state.
The thing many don't understand is church is not listening to a person teach the Bible. It's the gathering together as believers. So watching a pastor on a live stream, while it will probably be very informational, is not church. Fellowship is church. As Hebrews 10:25 states "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
